We know that Drew Peterson has a receptive soundboard for his thoughts from jail in Sun-times columnist Michael Sneed, who's published his letters from jail before (after they've been edited by Sneed's "confidential source"). Men of Chicago: Madonna of 1991 Hates You.
Sorry, guys. I hate to be the one to tell you this, now-middle-aged men of Chicago, but you don't do anything for Madonna. At least, the version of her that was shooting "A League Of Their Own" back in the early '90s doesn't think much of y'all. Letters of Note brings us this handwritten letter from Madge, signed "Dita" as was her alter-ego at the time. ("Dita" went on to mastermind the Madonna "Sex" book.)
Rev. Wright Lashes Out At Obama
Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the pastor at a church the Obamas attended and the source of much consternation for Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign, has lashed out. In a letter to Africa 6000 International when the group was raising money for Haiti relief and obtained by the Associated Press (dated February 18, 2010) Wright says:
Kids Letters To Santa Daley
Last spring, 2,000 CPS third graders wrote letters to Mayor Daley. Kind of like letters to Santa, except scarier. The kids dispensed some advice to Hizzonah but we'd rather just see the kids put in charge of the City. Sure, maybe they'll go all Lord of the Flies on us, but could they do any worse than the current Mayor/City Council combo?
