"One for the Road:" Day 2 With Steve Goodman

Moving along in our week-long Steve Goodman retrospective, we look at Goodman the interpreter of others' songs. A songwriter named Mike Smith was one of Goodman's favorites. Smith wrote, along with Steve Earle's "Goodbye," what we believe is a perfect song in "The Dutchman."

But only if it's sung by Steve Goodman. Here's a live performance from what looks to be Austin City Limits of the song with Goodman's longtime collaborator Jethro Burns.
