After the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Philadelpia Flyers in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals last year, it appears that people were too busy partying to pay attention to where the game-winning hockey puck went. Some people thought that an upset Flyers fan grabbed the puck before anyone else could get their hands on it, but it's unclear how the puck left the ice without a trace on that fateful night.

To help solve the mystery of the missing puck, the FBI has been called in for their expertise. No matter how many people are actively looking for the piece of hockey memorabilia royalty, it looks like everyone is pretty stumped about where this puck could be hiding:

While Kane and his teammates celebrated at the opposite end of the ice at the Wachovia Center, someone picked up the winning puck and it has not been seen since. After officials and fans had no luck in tracing its whereabouts, a $50,000 reward was offered by a restaurateur and the Chicago FBI stepped in to help.

Experts have been analyzing images and video frames from the game while also using high technology to help authenticate any pucks that might come their way. This is clearly very serious business, and we hope that the real puck reveals its whereabouts soon.
