One for the Road: Remembering Walter Payton
Watching Walter Payton play football was like watching an artist paint a masterpiece. The stiff arm blocks, the high kick, the ability to shift lanes like Barry Sanders, the balance and the way he would give defenders one stiff shot before going down. Emmitt Smith never did that.
On this date in 1954, the greatest running back in NFL history was born. Even Jim Brown (the closest running back comparison to Payton) would agree. And he does in this video.
