Edible Nerdiness: Willie Nelson, Chipotle and a Suprisingly Heartwarming Video

Chipotle, for all that they are a giant fast food corporation, has actual progressive food cred. They work to eliminate antibiotics and hormones from the meat supply, source from small farmers and give a ton of cash to local food advocacy organizations. But going into the national media and criticizing factory farming is taking it a whole step further - and doing so with a thoughtful, long-form video advertisement is almost mind-blowing.

Take a look at this video - which features Willie Nelson covering Coldplay. It'll be showing in more than 5000 movie theaters nationwide. Score one for the farmers, hopefully.

Something in their spice mix makes me ill, so I just can't eat Chipotle, But darned if this doesn't make me wish I could.  Also -- can Willie please release that cover as a single?

I've been a huge advocate for Chipotle's "progressive fast food" concept. Pretty good ad, and you can't say no to Willie Nelson!
