Target Opening at Midnight for Black Friday Shoppers

2011_10_28_target.jpg Are we reading news about Black Friday shopping already? Cheezis!

Target announced today they'll open their stores across the country at midnight Nov. 25 to get a head start on what is traditionally the busiest shopping day of the year.

This can only end badly.

Remember what happened last month when Target unveiled a limited-edition line of clothing from Italian fashion house Missoni? There was a bum rush on stores across the country and demand for the line was so great Target's web servers crashed. YouTube is littered with video evidence of what happens when retailers like Target and WalMart open early for Black Friday. Check out this madness... for a crock pot.

If a crock pot is worth risking life and limb it better be making the "Childhood" Menu at Next.

We'll spend Black Friday instead the way we did last year: shopping online with a turkey sandwich and four fingers of bourbon within reach.

With crazy sales like this on black friday companies and even customers should be able to map out where the best sales are and what is being sold!  Big stores like Target, Toys R Us, and Macys should use business intelligence  products that produce a professional dashboard to manage all of their data and sales!

Do not tell Joy Behar. She thinks the term Black Friday is racist.
