Converse Features YAWN In Short Film Series

2012_01_19_YAWN.jpg Converse has some pretty interesting endeavors in the works. It turns out the shoe company has a high-quality recording studio in Brooklyn called Rubber Tracks, which is entirely free, staffed with sound engineers, and open to new and emerging bands. The company also recently started a video project, Rubber Meets the Road, in which Converse follows these bands with cameras from their hometowns all the way to Brooklyn, and for the first installment of the series, they featured Chicago’s own YAWN.

This video is part one of the YAWN installment and shows the psych-pop quartet as they prepare for their trip to New Yawk, proving that the life of an indie band is not all that exciting and that, like most people, they don’t like being followed by cameras. Nonetheless, it's an interesting project featuring some pretty cool dudes. Check it out for yourself, and keep an eye out for the next part of YAWN’s voyage.
