With all the talk about tomorrow's viewing party at Liar's Club for Lifetime's Drew Peterson: Untouchablethe drinking game; the "Draw Peterson" coloring template; the viewing party itself ‐ we've been taken aback mostly by a lack of backlash over doing this.

"Isn't that weird?" Samantha raised this question to me the other day. I allowed that it was but that the antics of Drew Peterson have overshadowed the reality that one of his wives is dead, another is missing, and Peterson has a checkered history, at best, with women. (this was also something I mentioned to Steve Dahl on his podcast yesterday.)

We want this viewing party to be fun, but we also want to make something positive from this. Tomorrow night Chicagoist and DO312 will be collecting donations for Metropolitan Family Services. For 150 years, this organization has provided services for families including violence intervention. If you can spare an extra dollar, please do so. You can also bring art supplies, toys, baby items, household items or any of the other items listed on their website.

Let's remember that, while Drew Peterson is a buffoon, he's one who's accused of some heinous crimes.
