2012_2_28_mormon.jpg The upcoming 12-week run of Matt Stone and Trey Parker's Tony Award-winning musical The Book of Mormon is easily one of the most anticipated local theater events of the year. Broadway in Chicago announced this morning that individual tickets for Mormon will go on sale March 19. The Bank of America Theater box office will open at 12:01 a.m. for the occasion. Otherwise, tickets will go on sale that day through Ticketmaster and other outlets at 7 a.m. and 10 a.m.

If you happen to have an American Express card, you can buy presale tickets Friday at 10 a.m. If you miss out on purchasing tickets on either of those days, don't fret. Demand for The Book of Mormon has been so fierce that the play's run will almost certainly be extended past its original closing date of March 3, 2013.

Tickets will run between $45-$115. Broadway in Chicago's ticketing line is 800-775-2000 and you can purchase tickets online at Broadwayinchicago.com.
