2012_6_19_emporium_sq.jpg With a beer in one hand and a joystick in the other, the Emporium Arcade Bar is finally open. The Chicago spot for arcade games and craft beer was supposed to open back in March, and we've been impatiently waiting. Emporium Arcade Bar is officially opening tonight at 5 p.m.

The games are mostly from the 1980s, but there are a few 90s-era games like NBA Jam and Mortal Kombat. See the full list from Arkanoid to Xybots on Emporium's website. The games aren't the only draw, of course. The bar also features rotating taps of craft beers, a high-end whiskey selection and a few arcade-themed signature cocktails. Check tonight's list of 24 beer offerings.

They're not serving food, but you can bring your own. Warn your waistline: Harold's Chicken Shack is right across the street.

Emporium Arcade Bar is located at 1366 N. Milwaukee, Monday to Friday 5 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturdays noon to 3 a.m. and Sundays noon to 2 a.m.
