It's getting down to the wire, beer lovers. We started with 32 amazing local beers and, after several rounds of voting, we're down to the final four best beers in the midwest. Which beers made the cut?

We came into the Elite Eight with two beers from 3 Floyds, two beers from Goose Island and representatives of Half Acre, Pipeworks, Founders and Two Brothers. After a few thousand votes were cast by beer geeks everywhere, cult favorite brewery 3 Floyds is out of the running entirely. Yup, we were surprised too. Both Goose Island beers are still in the competition, as is the insanely popular Half Acre Daisy Cutter. Rounding out the competition is the best-named beer in the pack, Pipeworks Ninja vs. Unicorn.

It is actually conceivable that the final fight will be Goose Island vs. Goose Island. But everything is up for grabs at the moment. Voting remains open until Monday at 5 p.m.
