Monday, we reported that Diner en Blanc, the official Chicago outpost of the famed Parisian dinner in white, was going to be held on Sept. 19 but there's no word on exactly when tickets will be released. Right on the heels of that post, a representative from our home-grown version, Chicago in White, contacted us to let us know that they were also gearing up for this year.

Chicago in White (which was also called Diner en Blanc, before the original entered the market and took their name back) will be held on Sunday, September 22, just days after Diner en Blanc. Their tickets will go on sale tomorrow. Last year, Chicago in White's dinner was held outside the Merchandise Mart - no word, of course, on where it will be this year.

Chicago in White used to be alcohol-free. This year, they are only allowing guests 21 and over and wine will be available for advance purchase, along with flower arrangements and picnic baskets. Even better, if you hated carrying furniture all over the city in previous years, tables and chairs will be provided at the final destination. Each guest will be given a "harmonization point" around the city, and then they'll be guided to the final dinner. Last year, 1,600 people attended and, if you were among that number, you'll be getting a special access code that will reserve a ticket for you.

Otherwise, if you're new to this game, check their website (which isn't up yet) throughout the day tomorrow. Tickets are $55.
