Krautrock On The Chicago River With CAVE This Wednesday

The Chicago River has seen its share of curiosities floating through, and, thanks to hometown band CAVE, this Wed., Sept. 25th will be no exception. Celebrating the Oct. 15 release of their fourth LP, Threace!, the foursome will skipper their driving psych-krautrock upriver as they preview the album live.
According to a news release, the band plans to enter the river from the lake at 5 p.m. Wed., and head westward, hitting the major bridges in a motorik drive-by.
This isn't CAVE's first attempt at mobile musical antics. Back in 2011, they promoted previous release Neverendless with a performance from the back of a flatbed truck.
CAVE made their way down Milwaukee Ave. from the Logan Square Monument to Myopic Books before getting shut down. Whether CAVE succeeds in rocking the banks or gets sent upriver by the water cops, it's sure to be the Chicago River's best gig for a while.
