The Ravenswood Art Walk is one of the best art festivals in the city, if for no other reason than you get to see inside so many of the amazing old loft buildings on the Ravenswood corridor. If that plus art isn't quite enough to get you over to the Northwest Side, try this on for size. Ravenswood Art Walk DETOUR, a tasting of craft beers, spirits and food trucks, is taking its place smack dab in the middle of all that fabulous art.

From noon to 9 p.m. Oct. 5 and noon to 7 p.m. Oct. 6, 14 breweries, one distillery and eight food trucks will be gathering at the intersection of Ravenswood and Berteau. There will be beers, including limited releases, from some of your favorite brewers including Begyle (a sponsor of the event), Pipeworks, Metropolitan, Half Acre, Spiteful, Revolution and 5 Rabbit. The Salsa Truck, 5411 Empanadas, The Pierogi Wagon and Chicago Cupcakes (among others) will be serving food. On Saturday night, you can enjoy live bluegrass music.

Stop by this weekend—you know it's more fun to look at art when you're slightly tipsy.
