Alright. This horse is almost dead so it is the last thing we’ll say about all of it, but Chicago native Marina Shifrin, the viral video sensation of the week, now has her first very public job offer. From (of all people) Queen Latifah.

Shifrin was on Queen Latifah’s talk show today to discuss the video, and after speaking about what type of employer she is interested in, Queen Latifah uttered the magical words: “Maybe I can hook you up with a gig.” As the Kansas City Star reports, you have to watch the show to find out a response from Shifrin. Of course you do, otherwise the Queen Latifah show wouldn’t get the publicity they want out of this.

At this point, a highly publicized job seems a bit like rewarding bad behavior. Although I’m not sure imitators will have the same positive outcome that Shifrin has had thus far. We are not looking forward to a slew of viral videos of 20-somethings quitting their job. Sure, it worked out for Shifrin, but trust us kids, don’t try this at home expecting lightning to strike twice. That said, we wish the best to Shifrin and Queen Latifah if they decide to spin this PR stunt into a working relationship. Watch the interview below.
