Think you're excited about the Cubs' National League wildcard game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday? One Cubs superfan surprisingly convinced his professor to move a midterm so he could attend the game.
Ben Larson, a student at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, asked his professor to move a midterm scheduled for Thursday so he could attend the playoff game in Pittsburgh on Wednesday evening with his family. The professor made an exception for Larson and is allowing him to take the test on Friday because, "the universe gives Cubs fans only so many post-season games." Where can we sign up for his class? You can read Larson's email and his professor's response below:

Professor Dave is right, the game is a big deal: The Cubs haven't been in the playoffs since 2008 and haven't won a World Series since 1908.
More evidence that Cubs fever is sweeping the nation: rookie Kris Bryant has the best-selling jersey in the MLB, according to NBC.
