A woman was robbed at gunpoint in Logan Square last week, then kidnapped in a car and driven around the neighborhood to withdraw money from ATMs, police are warning.

There's a risk this crime could happen again—two days later, another woman was robbed by two people who tried unsuccessfully to get her into their car.

Police say the offenders were described as a black man 18 to 27 years old and a black woman 18 to 20 years old and armed with a chrome handgun. The car was described as a dark sedan.

The robbery and kidnapping reportedly took place just south of Logan Boulevard at 2444 N. Fairfield Ave. Thursday, Oct. 22 at about 11:11 p.m., authorities said in a community alert Monday evening. The second robbery was reported at 2447 N. Richmond Ave. Saturday, Oct. 24 at 10:09 p.m.
