Protesters calling for Mayor Rahm Emanuel's resignation gathered outside of his Ravenswood home Tuesday afternoon.
Emanuel cut his family vacation to Cuba short this week following news that a Chicago police officer fatally shot a 19-year-old man and his 55-year-old neighbor, a mother of three whose shooting was quickly labelled an accident by the police department.
"He likes his crimes like he likes his sidewalk... covered up," a protester said as the group gathered on the snowy sidewalk, according to CBS.
Protesters have been calling for the mayor's resignation for months, since the city released a damning video of another cop shooting a black teenager, Laquan McDonald 16 times.
