Updated 2:30 p.m.: The singer Sinead O'Connor has been found safe and is no longer considered a missing person, Chicago-area police told the Associated Press Monday afternoon.
Singer Sinead O'Connor hadn't been seen since she went out for a bike ride in the suburb of Wilmette at about 6 a.m. Sunday, Wilmette Police said in a statement issued Monday.
TMZ reports that police have classified O'Connor as "missing suicidal," though police did not confirm. They seek to "check the well-being of Sinead O'Connor," according to their statement. TMZ also reports that O'Connor was last seen on a motorized bike with a pink basket, in a black parka, leather pants and a sweatshirt with "Ireland" written across the back.
O'Connor received medical attention late last year after posting a suicide note to Facebook.
We reached out to Illinois State Police for further information on the case, and will update this story if they have new information.
