Woman Stabbed Friday Morning At The Loop's Adams/Wabash CTA Station

A woman was stabbed on the Adams and Wabash CTA platform in the Loop early Friday morning after an altercation, according to police.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m., police said. The 21-year-old victim was stabbed in the leg and abdomen by a woman after an argument broke out at the station. The suspect was described by police as black, approximately 21, 5’7”, 110 pounds. Police are also looking for a man who was with the offender, described as black, approximately 21, 5’7”.

No one was in custody as of Friday morning. They said in a statement sent to Chicagoist the stabbing does not seem to be gang related.

The victim was taken to Northwestern hospital and listed in stable condition.

Detectives are looking at CTA security video for the investigation. Police have not yet released any video to the public but said in a statement that they may do so for this case in the future.
