A 54-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot in the head near Millennium Park on Saturday evening, according to police.

The victim—who was accompanied by two women—was shot by another man after getting into an argument at around 7:35 p.m. in the 1-100 block of S. Michigan Ave., police said. The incident reportedly happened on the northeast corner of Michigan Ave. and Monroe St. The offender rode off on a bike before he was caught by authorities.

The victim was heading toward a train station with his sister and another person after having left a wine tasting, a woman who identified the victim as her brother told the Tribune. The argument was "possibly over a woman," according to Anthony Guglielmi, Communications Director of Chicago Police Department.

The wounded man was taken to Northwestern Hospital and listed in critical condition. Detective are investigating; and a person of interest is in custody, police said.
