The "real" Restaurant Week is still a few months away, but if you're looking for some great dining deals, this event on the Northwest side might be just the thing. Restaurants in the Lincoln Square/Ravenswood area have teamed up with the Chamber of Commerce for a special neighborhood restaurant week, and it's going on now.

The event, which runs from Oct. 16 through Oct. 21, invites restaurants to create deals of their own - they aren't stuck to a particular prix fixe format. Some, like Ampersand Wine Bar and Bistro Campagne, have created multi-course menus. We're particularly fond of Band of Bohemia's, which includes a beer flight, appetizer and entree for $45.

Others have created special dishes or promos. At Isla Pilipina, there's a special $12 "street food sampler" that includes a bunch of different Filipino specialities for you to try, and at Spacca Napoli, there's a complimentary Fritti del Giorno and Prosecco tasting on a bunch of different days.

As always with these types of deals deals, be mindful of value. However, if you're used to the regular restaurant week $33/$44 deals, you'll be pleasantly surprised, as some of these deals are better. Due Lire is running a $30, three-course with lots of options, Fountainhead is running a deal of $30 for three courses, The Grafton is running a $20 (!) three-course deal that includes their awesome fish and chips, and Luella's Southern Kitchen is doing a four-course deal for just $30.

Check out the whole list of deals here. We'd suggest reservations, since some of these are going to book up very fast.
