Planned Parenthood of Illinois Bake Sale

Planned Parenthood saw a flood of donations in the wake of Donald Trump's election—some of them not even in Mike Pence's name—but with the GOP's continued demonstrated hostility toward the reproductive-health nonprofit, we're happy to donate in any way we can. Especially when it involves getting a big box of cookies from some of Chicago's best bakeries.

That's the brilliant idea behind the Planned Parenthood of Illinois Bake Sale. A $75 donation gets you a box of 15 sweet treats, one cookie from each of the standout restaurants or bakeries listed below, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Planned Parenthood of Illinois. You can order now through February 24—or until boxes run out. After you place an order, your baked goods will be ready for pickup at Bang Bang Pie and Biscuits (2051 N. California Ave.) on Saturday, March 11th or Sunday, March 12th.

Or if you're one of those superhuman-willpower types who has somehow managed to carry a no-sweets New Year's resolution into a second month, you can skip the cookies and donate directly to Planned Parenthood Illinois through the campaign here.

Here's a list of the participating bakeries:
