While there is always some debate over whether the Au Cheval burger is actually the best burger in the known universe (one listing found that Mott Street's was better, and it didn't come close in our burger bracket), there's not any real doubt that it's pretty darn delicious. That's why it's super exciting to see another opportunity to obtain one coming to the Loop.

Eater Chicago reports that another location of Small Cheval, the stripped down, burger-only version of Au Cheval with a location in Wicker Park and (sort of) in River North, is coming to the new skyscraper at 150 North Riverside.

While there is no official opening date, Eater's sources say next Monday, Oct. 23, is the day. We'll see; Hogsalt Hospitality can be mysterious.

Next Monday is going to be a huge day for that part of town. In addition to Small Cheval, the new opening from Gibson's, Gibson's Italia, is currently scheduled to open at 233 N. Canal (basically across the street) on the same day.
