The Pompadour Is Real, and It’s Spectacular

Today is the last day to enter for your chance to win a pair of tickets to the El Vez holiday show at Subterranean since we pull out the barrel with the numbered ping-pong balls (our preferred method of choosing contest winners when feats of strength aren’t feasible) tomorrow morning. Ow, that was a really long sentence, huh? But that sentence wasn’t nearly as long as your face will be if you miss El Vez... more ›

Duran Duran Oct. 26, Sears Centre, 8 p.m., $35-$75, All Ages The Sears Center will never replace Poplar Creek... more ›

The gringos of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy are bringing their Wild and Swingin’ Holiday Party to the House of Blues tonight at 9 PM. Chicagoist wonders if it will resemble our own wild and swingin’ holiday party which featured copious amounts of Sam’s “Jingle My Bells Punch.” Margaret was only two cups in before she was putting mistletoe on her ass (“because you should all be kissing my ass anyway!”) and letting people know where they could stuff their stockings. more ›
