We're suckers for time lapse stuff, sure, but it's really hard to pass up this one, a terrific trip through our beautiful city. This brightened up our gloomy day and we hope it does the same for you.

Sure, it's been a week since we attended Sweatapalooza '09 and we've put this year's fest to bed, but we came across this badass time lapse of this year's fest and had to share it.

Chicagoist is totally obsessed with the demolition of the Sun-Times building. There's just something about walking past it everyday and gradually seeing an entire huge building start to come down before our very eyes. Which is why our newest non-sexual crushes are on a couple guys (who happen to work in a great big black building designed by Mies van der Rohe) who have been updating us with some really great photos of the demolition progress. We're so envious of the view they have of the destruction. Actually, they'll probably have a really great view of the lake after the destruction and before The Donald's tower gets built.
