Parties with Free Stuff to Chase Away the Grumpies

It's Tuesday, it's cold, we're broke, and the 4-day holiday weekend already feels like it happened months ago. We need some cheering up 'round these parts.

2007_11_nano.gifLuckily there are two excellent events that should warm our spirits without breaking our collective wallet. Cleo's on Armitage has been pushing their iTuesday events for a while now -- the idea being that local artists come in and iDJ for a while, followed by patrons with pre-loaded playlists so everyone really IS a DJ -- and tonight they're looking to say thanks to the folks that have made it a success so far. They'll be giving out a few iPod Shuffles and one iPod Nano, along with cheap tequila drinks and (our fave) super cheap PBR Tallboys. So, get sloshed to your own soundtrack once special guest iDJ Miguel of Catfish Haven gets done spinning.

Across town, MyOpenBar is holding their own event at Hideout, with complimentary Drambuie cocktails all night long, alongside performances by MCs Andrew Andrew, The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, and Gabriel Kahane. The whole thing is free but ya gotta RSVP if you want a chance of getting in.
