That's how adults trick or treat: with a glass in their hand, holding it out in such a way that says, "This isn't going to re-fill itself." We're going to remind you of some events and start giving you the low down on fun things happening for Halloween.
- October 15: Marche will be celebrating its 15 year anniversary with signature dishes, specialty cocktails, a live DJ and ...a Theatrical S&M and Burlesque Show. Oh, and Dr. Seuss Characters! Did you hear that, people? S&M and Dr. Seuss! As I said, I'll be going. 8 p.m. - 2 a.m. 833 W. Randolph. $20 ($5 of which will go to Perspectives Charter Schools).
- October 18: Join Alliance Française of Chicago for a Family cooking class, ages 7 to 10 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Expose your child to French culture and language through traditional French recipes. Check out more classes here (including Cooking with Cider, Profiteroles, and various wine tasting events). Parent: $45, One Child: $30, Two siblings: $55. 810 N. Dearborn.
- October 22: Carnivale's mixologist Victor Beheza will teach you how to make a Caipirinha - One of our favorites. 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., $25, 702 W. Fulton.
