• Police have released more information in regards to a sexual assault that occurred at the North/Clybourn Red Line stop a few weeks ago, including a picture of the suspect.

• A possible serial rapist appears to have been killed in a drug deal gone awry. Hector Valtierrez is suspected of having raped 14 women in 2003 and 2004 and was killed October 1 in Aurora.

• Jon Valdez, the former University of Illinois gymnastics coach, has been charged with a felony count of unauthorized videotaping stemming from an incident in which he allegedly videotaped another man in the school's locker room.

• Sebastian Rodriguez, 15, pleaded not guilty to charges that he shot and killed 12-year-old Sameere Conn in a grocery store on October 1.

• Olivier Rieppel, curator of fossil reptiles at the Field Museum, was part of a team that uncovered a fossil that could give us a clue as to how turtles developed their shell.

• A Batavia woman is claiming her ex-husband has sought revenge on her by stealing half of her bed.

• Pepper + Leaf blower + squirrels = fire?
