No Charges In Chuck E. Cheese Abandonment

Police will not file charges against the mother of a two-year-old girl found abandoned at a North Side Chuck E. Cheese on Saturday night but the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is still looking into the matter. The girl was found abandoned Saturday night but the girl's mother told police it was a misunderstanding with an aunt with whom the mother thought the child was going to spend the night. A DCFS spokesman, though, said, "This young lady, this little girl, continues to remain in our care. Our investigation continues at this point." [Tribune]
