California Man Arrested For Threatening Daley

It seems plenty of people were a bit rankled by Mayor Daley's rather, er, off-the-mark comment about sticking a rifle up the butt of Chicago Reader reporter Mick Dumke after Dumke (rightfully) questioned the effect of Chicago's handgun ban at a press conference last week. And that stretches all the way out west to San Jose where a man is now in custody for threats made against the mayor. Christopher Traynor Fox was allegedly angered so much by Daley's remarks (rather than, we assume, the Blackhawks sweeping the Sharks) that he called up Daley's office and left a nasty, threatening voicemail. Of course, given previous threats to Daley, every remark is being taken seriously.
