Do This: Watch Dan Aykroyd Shill Vodka at Zanie's Friday

Gotta love Dan Aykroyd. The man has taken a classic "Saturday Night Live" skit and turned it into a hotel and entertainment empire; he's the voice of Yogi Bear in the upcoming movie; and he's still married to Donna Dixon. Aykroyd also has an intense interest in the supernatural, which he used tapped extensively to set up an eight-minute infomercial last year to promote his Crystal Head Vodka, which is yet another example of the liquor industry's ability to polish a turd*. We posted the video last year last year and are doing so below to remind you of just how insane this infomercial is. It wound up being about damn near anything but the vodka.

Aykroyd will be at Zanie's Friday night to convince an audience of comedy fans with a two-drink minimum requirement they're missing. He'll be promoting Crystal Head vodka, then introducing the evening's featured comedian, Larry Reeb. In that order. Reeb's a good comedian and worthy of the timeslot, but the real show is going to be watching Aykroyd get worked up in a evangelistic fervor shilling the vodka.

*Seriously, what you're getting when you pay for Crystal Head is a run-of-the-mill vodka bottled in an amazing bottle that later makes a great bong (so we're told).
