Califone will headline the first installment of Sundays in the Park
There are an overwhelming number of music series and summer fests filling up our calendars this summer. But here’s another worth noting: this weekend, the Empty Bottle will kick off the Logan Square Music Series: Sundays in the Park, a free summer concert series.

The Bottle will be collaborating with 312 and I Am Logan Square for this series, bringing acts like Mucca Pazza, Thee Oh Sees, and a handful of special guests to the Illinois Centennial Memorial Column in Logan Square - the same place they held that massive Dan Deacon show last year. Experimental rockers Califone will headline this Sunday’s first installment with openers Bloodiest.

These shows are scheduled to take place the penultimate Sunday of every month at 4 p.m., except for its last installment on October 9. They specially picked these five dates from the Farmers Almanac to guarantee the most pleasant days for the series. In typical Bottle fashion, these shows are free with RSVP. Check out the full series schedule after the jump.

Sunday’s in the Park kicks off Sunday, June 26 at the Illinois Centennial Monument, 2595 N Milwaukee, 4 p.m., FREE with RSVP
