APPetizing - Bring Drink Deck to Android

2011_7_6DrinkDeck.jpg Drink Deck, our favorite bar-related iPhone app, is coming to Android phones - but only with your help. Drink Deck, which we've featured on the site in the past, is a set of 52 cards, each of which give a discount at a local Chicago bar. Right now, Drink Deck is trying to bring the App to the Android - and they're holding a competition. The App normally costs $30. If you give $25 to the effort to bring it to Android, you'll get it when it comes out - and the city (Drink Deck is in 3 locations, but who cares about the others) that raises the most money will get the app first!

"Some people think we are crazy, but we think this is cool," said Drink Deck founder Will Glass. "Operation Android" runs through July 17th, and then the app will be finished (and delivered to your Android) on or before August 15th. Chicago is currently in the lead - let's keep it that way.

Most of the deals on Drink Deck are $10 off your bill, but lately some percentage discounts have been popping up. Right now (on the iPhone app) you can get 30% off at Bull and Bear or 20% off at Chizakaya. These aren't Groupons - the discount is much smaller, and Glass is definitely concerned about keeping his restaurant clients afloat - which means there are a ton of desirable coupons for your favorite bars. If you're not an Android user, you can buy the app for iPhone or buy a physical deck.
