Relaunched MP3 site Epitonic and Logan Square-based record store Saki are teaming up for a new online performance and interview series called Epitonic Saki Sessions, according to a press release.

A marriage of the best kind of convenience -- the news release says Epitonic recently opened their new offices alongside Saki on Fullerton Ave., -- the sessions will feature exclusive live footage filmed at the store. The first session, featuring solo material from Fiery Furnace Eleanor Friedberger, who released her solo album Last Summer last week, will be filmed tomorrow at Saki. The session will then be posted on Epitonic in August.

"Saki is very excited to be sharing our space with a company that we truly believe in," Saki Events Coordinator Tyler Cannan said in the news release. "We look forward to pooling our resources in an effort to explore exciting new territory."

Epitonic President Justin Sinkovich threw the compliments right back at Saki in the press release: "I couldn't ask for a better place to headquarter Epitonic. This joint effort will allow us to produce the very first exclusive audio and video content in the site's history."

No word on what act will be next in the series. Having attended a handful of in-stores at Saki, including their first-year anniversary party, we can attest that Saki is a great space for these kind of events. We're curious to see how the Epitonic Saki Sessions will turn out.

Eleanor Friedberger's Saki in-store starts 6 p.m. on July 21. Saki is located at 3716 W. Fullerton Ave.
