Hideout Wants Your Photos

By Chuck Sudo in Arts & Entertainment on Aug 3, 2011 8:40PM

You did get your Hideout Block Party tickets, right? The night before the Block Party commences Hideout is going to have a large photography exhibition. We'll let them explain.

(W)e’re taking over some nearby walls to mount Scrap Book, a show of photos shot at the Hideout over the past 15 preposterous years.

We’ve hit up some of our professional friends already for their snazzy shots of bands and whatnot. But you do not have to be a pro photographer to contribute! We’d love to see snapshots of your lazy days and long wasted nights at the H/O. We’re encouraging live band photos but scenes from everyday life of the Hideout would be greatly appreciated as well.

Having studied the Chicagoist Photos Flickr pool, we know there are more than a few of you who should be jumping at this opportunity. The photos will be sold that night, with Hideout only taking a small consignment. If you're interested, email curator Andrea Jablonski here. Your photos must be framed and ready to hang, and you can submit as many as you like.
