We want to give you one final reminder about Homeroom Chicago's "Mixology 101" discussion at the Hungry Brain tonight with Mike Ryan and Roger Kamholz. We're stoked to see what these two have in store for tonight. (2319 W. Belmont; 9 p.m.; free.)

Whiskey Dinner

The Dalmore Master Blender Richard Paterson will be with at the Fountainhead tonight for a terrific dinner pairing six Dalmore whiskies with the Dalmore's food. The special treat of this dinner will be the chance to taste the King Alexander III, the only single malt that is aged in six different woods wine, Madeira, Sherry, Marsala, Kentucky burbon, and Port casks. Cantina Laredo, featuring modern Mexican cuisine, opens today. Cantina Laredo will be serving authentic Mexican dishes and drinks at lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. (508 N. State St.)
