  • Wicker Park's The Bedford launches brunch service this Sunday, with the menu available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Look out for dishes like Nutella smeared brioche, grits with ham hock gravy, and hanger steak with eggs. The brunch cocktail menu is worth a look too—joining the mimosa and kimchee-accented Bloody Mary is a bacon and egg cocktail, with bacon-infused bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white. The restaurant (located in an old bank) is headed up by chef Mark Steuer.

  • If you haven't hit up Dose Market yet, you'll have your chance tomorrow. Head to the River East Arts Center between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to check out an eclectic mix of food and fashion vendors. Eats include the debut of Bill Kim's Seoul Sauce, served with pork-cilantro dumplings, soba noodles, and edamame; Bloody Marys from City Provisions; and sausage from Franks 'N Dawgs. Snag tickets here.
  • Add this to your weekly lunch line-up: the Southern Mac and Cheese storefront opened on Friday. The restaurant version of The Southern's mac and cheese truck, you'll find six meat varieties (like smoked bacon with blue cheese and mushrooms or chorizo with pepperjack and cotija) and six veggie (like Southern-style pimento or truffle white cheddar), along with a grilled cheese sandwich and salads.
