Cubs' Castro Questioned By Police About Alleged Sexual Assault

Chicago police spent all night and much of this morning questioning Cubs shortstop Starlin Castro about his involvement with a woman who accused him of sexual assault last week. This ought to make things at this weekend's Cubs Convention a bit awkward.

WBBM Newsradio's Mike Krauser reports Castro is at Chicago Police Belmont Area Headquarters. Castro has been in the Dominican Republic since September. The woman accusing Castro of sexual assault claims she met him at the River North nightclub Crescendo, then later went back to his apartment and blacked out. When she came to, she said she found Castro on top of her, screamed and left the apartment.

The Sun-Times is citing sources as saying Castro has not been charged, but that the investigation into the allegations is ongoing.
