Well, that was quick. According to gossip columnist Rob Shuter, Rosie O'Donnell will be moving production of The Rosie Show to New York. Shuter cited an insider with knowledge of the situation, who said:

“It was a mistake to take the show to Chicago just because Oprah’s old studio was sitting there empty."

The insider also told Shuter O'Donnell originally wanted to film the troubled show in New York, but "agreed to film out of Chicago and even work with Oprah’s old staff rather than hire her own" and found it hard for guests to fly to Chicago to tape the program.

Recent weeks have been trying for O'Donnell. There have been changes to the show's format. the show is now filming on a smaller soundstage at HARPO Studios without an audience. Last week O'Donnell put her 6,000 square-foot home in the Southport corridor back on the market, six months after she purchased it from Oprah Winfrey Network President Erik Logan. She reportedly found a buyer a day after she listed the home.
