Shedd Aquarium's Sea Otter Pup Makes Public Debut

By Samantha Abernethy in Arts & Entertainment on May 25, 2012 6:00PM

Back in January the Shedd Aquarium adopted an orphaned baby sea otter that was found stranded near the town of Cayucos, Calif., in December. They named her after the town and have kept Cayucos under close watch for four months now, nursing her back to health. Now the little fella is finally ready to make her public debut.

Cayucos is now seven months old and weighs 26 pounds. Watch the video below to see Cayucos meet her new pals Kenai, Kachemak, Mari and Kiana at the Abbott Oceanarium. Or you could just go see her in person right now.
