Bob Chinn's Rakes In The Money

2012_1_13_bob_chinn's.jpg Chicago is home to some expensive restaurants. It's also home to the highest grossing restaurant in the country.

Forbes reports that Bob Chinn's Crab House brings in $24 million in revenue annually. The Wheeling restaurant serves 2,500 meals a day. That's some perspective for those of you who remember the food poisoning scare they had there in January, where 146 reported cases of gastrointestinal illness were linked to people who ate there.

Taking a deeper look at the list you see that, for all the variety of restaurant communities across the country, the highest profit ones are still steakhouses and that doesn't look like it will change anytime soon. It isn't anything we didn't know already, but still worth a mention.
