Listen To The First Single Off Mister Lies’ Upcoming Album

We started digging Mister Lies and his minimalist beats after coming across his EP Hidden Neighbors this summer. The bedroom production artist (his real name’s Nick Zanca) had already been making plans for his first full-length album, though the specific were under wraps back then.

Well, Zanca has at last let his fans in on the details—he’s titled his 8-track debut full-length after The Jungle Book protagonist Mowgli, and it’s scheduled to come out February 26 on Lefse Records. That’s still a long ways away, so Mister Lies is giving out a taste of the new album by releasing its first single “Align.” This one’s more fast-paced and bass-heavy than what we’re used to hearing from Zanca, but it still maintains those woozy and intoxicating grooves we can’t get enough of.
