We wrote earlier in the week that Grace, the new fine dining restaurant from former Avenue's Chef Curtis Duffy, was opening this week. While we've been casually following this story (and even doing an interview or two), Mike Gebert at Grubstreet Chicago has been tailing Duffy with a camera for months. We wouldn't be surprised if he'd been hiding in dumpsters outside the restaurant. Now that the place is open, you can watch his video series "Finding Grace: The Making of a Restaurant" in its entirety.

Gebert is well known for his Sky Full of Bacon Videos, and he's brought that talent for interesting food videography to Grubstreet. Unfortunately, unlike SFOB, Grubstreet updates so fast that it's really easy to miss a video or two. So here for your viewing pleasure, all in one place, is the complete series of five episodes. It begins with an empty space with peeling paint on the walls and ends with the first night of service - and along the way talks design, dishes, menus and more. Perfect for anyone who wants to learn how these fancy restaurants are created.
