By Chuck Sudo in Arts & Entertainment on Jul 11, 2013 5:20PM
Chicago Police are still looking for information leading to an arrest in the death of Carissa Hinz, the artist and barista at Bridgeport Coffee House who was killed in a June 14 hit-and-run accident outside the Co-Prosperity Sphere.
Friends and family of Hinz are hosting a fundraiser July 14 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.at the Old Eagle Room, located next to Polo Café & Catering. There will be live music, an open photo booth, "make your own origami" craft tables, live painting, a variety of gift baskets and certificates will be up for raffle, donated by neighborhood and Chicago businesses. Resident artists of Bridgeport Art Center and the Zhou B Art Center are donating artwork that will be on display and up for silent auction. Polo Café will host a buffet and there's a cash bar. All proceeds for this event will go to a reward fund to encourage someone with information on Hinz's death to come forward, leading to an arrest in the case. (3322 S. Morgan St.)
