Soft Speaker is one of those Chicago musical acts that continues to mesmerize us and leave us flummoxed as to why everyone else isn't waiting in a line down the block every time they play live. Apparently we are not alone in our high estimation of the band becasue none other than Super Furry Animals member Cian Ciarán took one of their songs and twisted it into a delightful remix. Which, if you take into account the band's strong suit is a beat driven yet dreamy psych-rock, shows just how malleable their sound can be.

The band plays Beat Kitchen Saturday night and in advance of their show they've released a free EP of remixes, including the one from Ciarán. Snag a copy then get in line to see the band work their magic live and on stage.
