Last week Steve Shanabruch, the mastermind behind the ongoing Chicago Neighborhoods project, emailed me with his latest bit of artwork: a WPA-inspired poster of Henry C. Palmisano Nature Preserve in the wunnerful Bridgeport neighborhood.

This isn't Shanabruch's first foray into creating artwork of Chicago landmarks (old or new) inspired by the Great Depression-era program but I live a block from one of Chicago's best outdoor spaces so it's definitely my favorite. Shanabruch has captured the history of Palmisano Park and one of its best features—its retention pond—perfectly.

Buy it and the other prints here.
