The venerable local culinary website LTHForum announced their annual Great Neighborhood Restaurants and Resources awards Thursday and this year's awardees once again represent both popular consensus among casual foodies and the hard-earned respect of the more serious gourmand.

Fat Rice in Logan Square made the cut. Chefs Abraham Conlon and Adrienne Lo have received heaps of praise locally and nationally for their spirited take on Macanese cuisine, which they dubbed "Euro-Asian comfort food" and earned a nod from Bon Appetit as one of the best new restaurants in America.

Another consensus pick is Bad Wolf Coffee, which Melissa McEwen picked as one of our 18 best coffee shops in Chicago.

Other awardees include Nicky's Hot Dogs, Rainbow Thai Cuisine in Lincoln Square and Homestyle Taste, one of three restaurants in Bridgeport to focus on northern Chinese cuisine.
