Hot Doug's Closing Now Has A Final Countdown Timer

News of Hot Doug’s impending October closing created a civic unrest not seen since Chicago’s bid to host the 2016 Summer Olympics fell (thankfully) far short of expectations. Now a website not associated with Doug Sohn’s encased meat emporium is counting down the days, hours, minutes and seconds until Sohn serves up his final tubesteaks and fries.

Hotdogs.com has set up the countdown timer with the tagline “encased meats, my friend” as a reminder that folks who want a final run to Hot Doug’s now have just over 143 days to do so. It isn’t quite like the Y2K scare, but since many of you are still shell-shocked by the announcement, it may as well be.
