Whenever we feel like we need an emotional lift (which is often these days) we love looking at images of Chicago from space. It could be video of Chicago in the shadow of the aurora borealis. It could be any of several photos taken from the International Space Station.
Here is the latest, from NASA astronaut Reid Wiseman. This was taken around 3 a.m. while most of us were getting some shuteye and some of you were closing down the late night bars.
Gorgeous view of #Chicago and #Detroit around 3am on Wednesday morning. pic.twitter.com/a6kJyn3tTI
